Mike Testa – MSPT, CSCS
Michael was raised in Rockaway, New Jersey. He earned a BA in Exercise Science from Fort Lewis College in Durango. Michael went on to receive a Master of Science in Physical Therapy degree from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL. He has over 17 years of physical therapy experience, specializing in manual therapy and functional movement. Michael is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), certified in Functional Dry Needling (FDN), and certified in the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) and Functional Movement Screen (FMS). Michael is also Titleist Performance Institute Certified (TPI) and is excited to help golfers return from injuries and improve their mobility and strength to improve their playing. He enjoys spending time with his family, skiing, golfing, mountain biking as well as singing and playing his guitar.
Amy Testa – MSPT
Owner, Physical Therapist
Amy was born and raised in Stafford Springs, Connecticut. She attended Furman University in Greenville, SC where she earned a BS in Psychology. She received her Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL. Amy has advanced training in the areas of manual therapy techniques, functional movement and pediatrics. She has over 17 years of experience and specializes in treating the neck and headaches. Amy is certified in the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA). She enjoys a wide variety of outdoor activities as well as volleyball, traveling, and photography.
Jan Mohan – DPT
Physical Therapist, Pelvic Rehab Specialist
Jan, a native of Dexter, New Mexico, is a 2013 graduate from the University of New Mexico’s Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program where she finished in the top of her class. Jan began her career in medicine back in 2001 when she earned her associates degree in respiratory therapy from Eastern New Mexico, and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in Biology in 2005 from Fort Lewis College in Durango. Jan has taken a strong interest in orthopedics and pelvic floor rehabilitation where she treats many conditions including: postpartum recovery, pelvic pain, pelvic floor weakness, and incoordination dysfunctions. Through education and retraining, she is able to help patients regain bladder control, decrease pain, and improve quality of life. Jan is also certified in Functional Dry Needling (FDN) and the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA). Jan and her husband Nathan live in Durango where they can take advantage of telemark skiing, trail running, backpacking, and whitewater rafting.
Lisa Weber – LMT, BCTMB
Lisa graduated from Bodyworks Massage Institute in Evansville, Indiana in June of 2005 and has been doing massage therapy full time since then. As a Board Certified Massage Therapist since 2007, Lisa’s focus is orthopedic and medical massage. Lisa moved to Durango in 2012 and spends her free time hiking mountain trails, gardening, and in the winter, snowshoeing.
Nicole DeSouchet – DPT
Nicole received her undergraduate degree in Exercise science from Fort Lewis College, followed by her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from California State University Sacramento. Nicole strives to provide the best care to all patients with each plan of care individualized specifically towards their function and lifestyle needs. She has been a runner and athlete for many years and has a passion for helping athletes return to the sport they love. Nicole enjoys hiking, running, biking, strength training, and exploring the mountains of Colorado!
Morgin was born and raised in Durango, Colorado. She attended Fort Lewis College and obtained her Associates Degree from Southwest Colorado Community College. Morgin gained her valuable experience in the exciting world of Physical Therapy in Arroyo Grande, California, where she was the front office assistant. She moved back to Durango with her husband in April 2018 to be closer to family, friends and the mountains. In her free time, Morgin enjoys hiking, camping, skiing, traveling, wake boarding and just enjoying the sunshine with her husband Pete and dog, Leo.
Danielle is originally from Mission Viejo, California. She moved here in 2015 to attend Fort Lewis College, where she is studying Exercise Physiology and minoring in Psychology. Danielle came to Durango to be on the mountain bike team at the college. She is working towards going to Physical Therapy school. In her free time she enjoys spending time in the outdoors, volleyball, mountain biking and hiking, when she is back in California she likes to attend the beach and surf.
Official Greeter/Therapy Dog
Tilly was born December 14th, 2011 and is originally from Farmington Hill. After years of hard work and determination, Tilly graduated from the greeter apprenticeship program to a position as an Offical Greeter at Advantage Physical Therapy. Her main job duties include making each patient feel welcome, relaxed and appreciated. She spends her free time hiking, swimming, eating, napping and chasing squirrels.
