MikeTestaMike Testa – MSPT, CSCS

Owner, Physical Therapist

Michael was raised in Rockaway, New Jersey. He earned a BA in Exercise Science from Fort Lewis College in Durango. Michael went on to receive a Master of Science in Physical Therapy degree from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL. He has over 12 years of physical therapy experience, specializing in manual therapy and sport specific rehabilitation. Michael is a certified strength and conditioning specialist, he is also certified in dry needling. He enjoys skiing, hiking, mountain biking as well as singing and playing his guitar.

AmyTestaAmy Testa – MSPT

Owner, Physical Therapist

Amy was born and raised in Stafford Springs, Connecticut. She attended Furman University in Greenville, SC where she earned a BS in Psychology. She received her Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL. Amy has advanced training in the areas of manual therapy techniques and pediatrics. She has over 12 years of experience and specializes in treating the neck and headaches. She enjoys a wide variety of outdoor activities as well as volleyball, traveling, and photography.

JanMohanJan Mohan – DPT

Physical Therapist, Pelvic Rehab Specialist

Jan, a native of Dexter, New Mexico, is a 2013 graduate from the University of New Mexico’s Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program where she finished in the top of her class. Jan began her career in medicine back in 2001 when she earned her associates degree in respiratory therapy from Eastern New Mexico, and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in Biology in 2005 from Fort Lewis College in Durango. Jan has taken a strong interest in orthopedics and pelvic floor rehabilitation where she treats many conditions including: postpartum recovery, pelvic pain, pelvic floor weakness, and incoordination dysfunctions. Through education and retraining, she is able to help patients regain bladder control, decrease pain, and improve quality of life. Jan is also certified in dry needling. Jan and her husband Nathan live in Durango where they can take advantage of telemark skiing, trail running, backpacking, and whitewater rafting.

LisaWeberLisa Weber – LMT, BCTMB

Massage Therapist

Lisa graduated from Bodyworks Massage Institute in Evansville, Indiana in June of 2005 and has been doing massage therapy full time since then. As a Board Certified Massage Therapist since 2007, Lisa’s focus is orthopedic and medical massage. Lisa moved to Durango in 2012 and spends her free time hiking mountain trails, gardening, and in the winter, snowshoeing.

JennaBothnerJenna Bothner

Office Manager

Jenna is a Colorado native. She moved to Durango to attend school at Fort Lewis College where she received her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology. During her time at Fort Lewis she studied abroad in Ghana for a year where she focused on cultural studies including: dance, drumming, and the African Xylophone. Jenna is interested in pursuing her doctorate in physical therapy. During her free time she enjoys biking, backpacking, and traveling.

Receptionist

Alix was raised in Monument, Colorado and moved to Durango in 2007 to attend Fort Lewis College, where she majored in Sociology and minored in Sustainable Agriculture. During her time at FLC, she spent a semester abroad in Italy studying the language, the regional agricultural techniques, and the food. Alix and her husband, Jesse have a black lab named Huckleberry. In their free time they enjoy rafting, skiing, hiking and camping.

MollyTestaMolly Testa

Official Greeter/Therapy Dog

Molly originally hails from Bayfield, CO. At 6 months she decided to relocate to Durango and adopted Mike and Amy as her new companions. After a short probation period, she was promoted to a Full Time position as an Official Greeter at Advantage Physical Therapy. Her main job duties include making each patient feel welcome, relaxed and appreciated. She spends her free time hiking, swimming, eating, napping and chasing squirrels.

Tilly is the youngest member of our team. She was born December 14th, 2011 and is originally from Farmington Hill. Tilly is currently participating in the greeter apprenticeship program led by Molly Testa. She is excelling at restlessness and begging but is committed to learning the proper etiquette and professionalism it takes to become an official greeter at Advantage PT
