Meet the staff & physical therapists at Advantage PT

Michael Testa, MSPT, CSCS
Physical Therapist, Owner

Michael was raised in Rockaway, New Jersey. He earned a BA in Exercise Science from Fort Lewis College in Durango. Michael went on to receive a Master of Science in Physical Therapy degree from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL. He has over 10 years of physical therapy experience, specializing in manual therapy and sport specific rehabilitation. Michael is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist. He and Amy have a black lab named Molly. He enjoys skiing, hiking, mountain biking as well as singing and playing his guitar.

Amy Testa, MSPT
Physical Therapist, Owner

Amy was born and raised in Stafford Springs, Connecticut. She attended Furman University in Greenville, SC where she earned a BS in Psychology. She received her Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL. Amy has advanced training in the areas of manual therapy techniques and pediatrics. She has over 10 years of experience and specializes in treating the neck and headaches. She enjoys a wide variety of outdoor activities as well as volleyball, traveling, and photography.

Megan Finnesy, LMT
Massage Therapist

Megan is a licensed massage therapist with 8 years of experience. She specializes in medical, sports, and Swedish massage. Megan is an avid runner, mountain biker, and skier, so she is very tuned in to what athletes need in the way of bodywork. She has consistently been recognized for her ability to obtain results through assessment of client’s needs and designing treatment plans. Megan loves exploring the woods, whether it be running, skiing, or hiking. She also keeps very busy as a race director and organizing aid stops for trail races.

Jen Prosser, RMT
Massage Therapist

Jen is a registered massage therapist with 21 years experience, 19 spent in Durango. Jen specializes in deep tissue and sports massage. She is also an expert in treating common sports, work-related injuries, neck, shoulder, and back pain. Jen’s philosophy is that massage is part of an overall wellness program. In addition to offering quality massage therapy that gets results, she tries to address the root of the problem, whether it be stress, ergonomics, lack of flexibility, poor stretching technique, core weakness, or overtraining. Jen has a Shih Tzus, Barry and Biggie Smalls, and two cats, Domino and Mr. Kitty. In her free time, Jen enjoys community gardening, hiking, and dancing.

Lindsey Ward
Office Manager and Billing Coordinator

Lindsey was born and raised in Farmington, NM. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Professional Writing from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. She has lived in Durango and worked for Advantage Physical Therapy & Wellness since December 2007. Lindsey enjoys spending time with her husband, their 3 cats, Liberty, Baxter, and Lily and their black lab, Max. She also spends her time camping, golfing, and scrapbooking.

Marketing Associate

Jessica was born and raised in Durango. She has a BA in English Communications with a minor in Marketing from Fort Lewis College. Jessica started working at Advantage Physical Therapy & Wellness in December 2010. She spends her free time doing yoga, playing tennis, and playing with her daughter.

Jamie Krefting
Receptionist

Jamie was born and raised in Springfield, Ohio and has lived in Durango for 12 years. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in business marketing from Fort Lewis College in 2003. Jamie started working at Advantage Physical Therapy & Wellness in June 2011. She is an avid ultra-runner, and enjoys mountain biking, yoga and spending time with her husband.

Molly Testa
Official Greeter/Therapy Dog

Molly originally hails from Bayfield, CO. At 6 months she decided to relocate to Durango and adopted Mike and Amy as her new companions. After a short probation period, she was promoted to a Full Time position as an Official Greeter at Advantage Physical Therapy. Her main job duties include making each patient feel welcome, relaxed and appreciated. She spends her free time hiking, swimming, eating, napping and chasing squirrels.
